I got the word when I got to work last night. I have been officially promoted to full-time status, along with five of my other long-suffering colleagues, effective immediately. So I have this Sunday and Monday off, and for now those will be my regular days off. Not ideal, since the money SUCKS on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (especially lately--nobody is making any money this week. Apparently the first of the Christmas credit card bills have arrived). But once the daytime shift bids are filled by the people with seniority, there will be a movement of schedules, and about a month or two my days off might change to something more favorable.
But in the meantime, everybody muppet-dance!
