Keep the Change

Let's just get this out of the way, shall we...

It appears that my countrymen have spoken, and they seem to be in favor of higher taxes, bigger government, and accommodating our enemies. Why, I do not understand. Oh well, I guess I'll have to learn to live with it, kinda like having a toothache and no dental insurance.

I just hope that the followers of The One are more gracious in victory than they have been during the campaign. Now, hopefully, they can come out of the shadows and stop spamming my comments section anonymously. Or they can simply move on, satisfied with their victory. They now have the reins of power, I hope they use them wisely. Me, on the other hand, I'm now firmly in the anti-establishment camp, and one thing I've learned from the lefties over the past eight years is that dissent is the highest form of patriotism, so I'm all over that.

Anyhow, now that I've consumed several plates of crow and downed a few bottles of What The Fuck Are You People Thinking? juice, I'm now in my half-crocked happy place. Life goes on, the sun still rises in the east and I'm still lucky enough to be a citizen of the best country in the history of mankind. One socialist politician can't ruin it, try as he might. But seriously--Ohio, you're dead to me now. Same goes for you, Pennsylvania. I now have the same disdain for you clowns as I do for Pepsi, Harrah's, Billy Mays, the Yankees, crunchy peanut butter, HOV lanes, and the people who sell printer ink.

My only thought is, I wonder how long it takes before buyer's remorse sets in with all of the folks that voted blue. Honestly, I wish the Community Organizer in Chief well--I truly hope he's up to the task before him. But deep down, I'm afraid that he's gonna end up making Jimmy Carter look like Thomas fucking Jefferson.
