Waiting For the Sun

Hey gang! It's Friday morning here at the Man-Cave, and although I'm thoroughly exhausted from my night of work, I'm still chuggin' along, but I'm hoping to fall asleep sometime soon. Yes, I stayed till the bitter end again tonight--It seems as if I don't ask for at least an hour of Early Out time, I'm stuck until the very end--no half hour E.O, no twenty minute push--I am the last man standing. It's not a coincidence, either. There's one floor supervisor who I think is a total douchebag, and he knows I think he's a total douchebag, so whenever he's got the roadmap, he makes sure I'm on the shittiest game possible till the very end of the shift. I guess it's the cross I bear for being teacher's pet every other night, though.

But man, I didn't think I'd make it tonight, either. My first hour-and-a-half was awful. I was on dead games the whole time, and came close to dozing off a few times. I even tried to convince myself that I could skip out four hours early and not miss much money, and a few other dealers agreed. I sent the Future Mrs a text message whining about how bad my Monday sucked and that I wished she was there to endure it with me. But it was her night away from the casino, so she was havin' no part of it.

But when I got back from my second break, the casino was suddenly packed, and I was busy for the rest of the night. So I made it the entire eight hour shift, which I would've never bet on, especially around 8:00 pm or so when the place was dead.

Right now, besides making this update, I'm lying in bed working on my pre-move To Do list. Gotta love a To-Do list where the number one task is Drink as much of the booze as possible so you don't have to move all them heavy bottles. Currently, I'm working my way through a tall glass of vanilla vodka and orange juice (gotta get them vitamins!), and I'm guessing it'll help me sleep well.

After I get up and run a few errands, it's back here to the house where I spend my free time this weekend cleaning and organizing my bedroom closet and the storage closet. Anything I didn't wear or use since I've been here will get tossed in the dumpster (Goodbye, green feather boa!). Oh, and that shiatty old Compaq computer? It's still sitting in the closet. So I'm going to take the case apart and destroy the hard drive, but I'm thinking of taking the monitor to work and dropping it off the roof of the parking garage, just to see it die... That should be fun.

Just an FYI, I wrote out the checks for the utilities this morning. Electricity was $31, Gas was $39. I'm really gonna miss this place.
