Good Karma--I Has It.

Let me try this again. I made a post yesterday morning, but when I went back and re-read it an hour later, I didn't like it at all. So I tried to edit it, and I farked it all up, so I just said the hell with it and deleted the entire thing.

My mind is much more clear today.

The point that I was trying to make is that I must be livin' right, because everything is going my way this week. It all started off with a surprisingly nice night of tokes last Monday, followed up by taking second place cash in the Silverton poker tournament, but there were a myriad of other little things falling into place for me this past week, too.

But the best thing was that after several months of daydreaming about it, I finally got to go out with the future Mrs my favorite cocktail waitress on Saturday night. Not only that, but she was the one who did the asking, telling me to take off early from work to go out with her. So I gave up a few hours of tokes and bailed on work, but it was so worth it...

We stayed out all night drinking, dancing, and laughing, and ended the night having breakfast in the coffee shop of a nearby casino. Yes, we had a most excellent time together, and we've made plans to do it again soon.

(That last paragraph should be a five-page single-spaced Word document, but in the interest of discretion, I'm going to keep it to myself and savor it like a glass of fine wine)

Of course, once I finally got home, I couldn't sleep, so by the time I got back to work last night, I was exhausted and yawning every five minutes. She was in pretty much the same shape, and made it most of the night before taking off an hour early and went to bed. But I had to stay and grind it out until the bitter end--no more Early Outs for the rest of the week.

Tonight is the last night of my workweek, so I'm going to try and get as much sleep as I can today and hope that the night goes by fairly fast. I've got no plans for my weekend except to work on my puzzle, do some chores, and maybe play in a poker tournament one night.
