Anybody Seen Falcon Rob?

As far as sports fans go, nobody has had a tougher week than Falcon Rob. First of all, his alma-mater, Bowling Green State University, just got their asses handed to them in the GMAC Bowl a couple of days ago, losing to Tulsa, 63-7.

He's also a huge Steelers fan, even sporting a Kendrell Bell replica jersey on occasion. And everyone knows what happened to the Steelers on Saturday night--they lost at home to Jacksonville, getting eliminated from the playoffs. Regardless of what Oakland or Dallas fans have to say, the Pittsburgh Steelers ARE America's team, so that loss had to sting quite a bit.

And then there was last night, when his favorite college team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, got waxed once again by an SEC team in the national championship game. It started out ok, but then it got ugly in a hurry. After seeing him put a hurt on our tequila stocks after the Illinois loss late in the season, I was worried how this latest setback might affect him. I sent him a text message from work last night, asking if I needed to bring home more tequila. He never answered, but when I got home, there was that note on the counter saying he was going out drinking and he'd be home sometime today. That was over 12 hours ago, and I haven't seen or heard from him since.


I'm guessing that he found comfort in the arms of another fan who might be feeling his same pain.
