That's two tournament wins in less than 24 hours. Early on, it was a little dicey because I was down to just $450 in chips after my pocket Kings got sucked out on by a guy holding Ace-Five and caught the Ace on the river, of course. But I made a helluva comeback. And even when it got down to heads up, the guy had me outchipped about four-to-one after another ridiculous beatdown, but I scratched and crawled my way back. Most people would give up and just push with anything, already being in the money like we were. But dammit, I'm just too competitive when it comes to poker, and I wanted to win!

The best hand was when we were heads-up, and I was on the big blind with Jack-Nine offsuit. My opponent limped in, and I just checked. The flop was three Nines, giving me quads! He checked, of course I checked behind him. The turn was a Queen, he checked, as did I. The river was another beautiful Queen, putting the full-house on the board. My opponent checked, so I bet $1800. He called, thinking I was trying to steal the pot. Heh. Bad juju. That crippled him.

Shortly after that, he went all in with King-Jack, and I called him with my Ace. His hand didn't improve and I won the whole damn shootin' match.

I'm back, baby!

Mikey
