The Best Intentions

Hey Gang...

I know it's late on a Friday afternoon and nobody is around to hear this particular tree falling in the woods, but I'm checking in to say that I *really* wanted to write a nice big long and interesting post today, but I just don't have the strength.

I am so tired right now that I can barely find the motivation to go make a pot of coffee...

Last night, I left the house a little bit after 5:00 pm, intending to go down to the casino and watch the BCS Championship game. But somebody put a poker room right next to the sports book, and there was a brand new 1-2 no limit game starting up when I walked by, so I joined the party.

And I came crawling back home 12 hours later...

Yep, I got home at 5:15 this morning, puttered around for a bit, answered a few emails, and then collapsed into bed. I just woke up and and I've still got that 'Huh?, What?' look going on as I try to orient myself and figure out what I'm gonna do with the rest of my day. When I was driving home, I was thinking I'd stay up for a couple of hours and write about my poker adventures of the night before, however, the spirit was willing but the flesh was weak...

Bottom line--it was a profitable night, but there was so much crazy stuff going on that it's gonna take my full concentration, a pot of coffee, and about three hours of uninterrupted keyboard time to tell the whole story. I hope to get to it later, but I make no promises. Also, I won't be doing much writing this weekend because I have to be up in N. Las Vegas at 7:00 am on Saturday morning and spend the next two days working that free-roll tournament. Saturday will be a 12-hour workday for me, Sunday somewhat less, but still, it's gonna drain me and I won't do much but sleep in between.

So I hope to have a nice phat poker-centric post up for you guys on Monday morning, but I just don't know if it's gonna happen. At the very least I also want to answer a few of the reader comments from yesterday's post, plus write a small review of one of the books I got for Christmas that I finished off yesterday.
